2026-10-05 — v0.2: search, agent email, first 100 buyers
Added.
- Search: 25 pages on how the players win Google and AI answers. They rest on a crawl of 33 competitor domains: full sitemap inventories, robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, llms.txt and markdown pricing files, structured data, and every certificate-log subdomain probed live. The crawl is summarised on the scoreboard. The section covers seven tactics, two answer-engine pages, a keyword map, thirteen player teardowns, and an SEO and an AEO playbook (Search: the read, Search playbook for an EU-native agency platform, AEO playbook: being the answer).
- Agent email, a new vertical: AgentMail plus Nylas, Cloudflare Email Service, Resend and Unipile, the layer page Agent mail layer, the market page The agent email market, and an update to Sending engine as an API.
- The first 100 buyers: a directory of 105 small agencies, GTM-engineering shops and operators, merged from three passes. It comes with The first 100 buyers, Ideal first customer, three cluster pages, Where they gather and Reaching the first 100.
Corrected. The crawl caught errors in earlier assumptions:
- Apollo's people directory now returns 410 Gone.
- PlusVibe's sitemap is half duplicates.
- The "HubSpot" stack signal was a false positive.
- Instantly does document an MCP server; its llms.txt simply never mentions it.
The read, extended. In search, neither leader ranks for its own comparison queries. Nobody owns "GDPR-compliant cold email" in any language. People-directory SEO is being retired (Apollo) or blocked (ReachInbox). For the buyers: agencies are building their own reply layers on Smartlead, which supports The reply desk as the first product. Only about 40 of the 105 can lawfully receive a named cold email.
2026-10-05 — v0.1, the first build
Added. 137 pages across nine sections:
- Market: 11 pages.
- Stack: 10 pages.
- Players: 35 profiles.
- Features: 22 pages and a 12-product matrix.
- Deliverability: 11 pages.
- Law: 12 pages, including a 31-country European matrix.
- Customers: 7 pages.
- Openings: 13 scored openings.
- Build: 10 pages.
Reference pages: The read, Glossary, Open questions, Contradictions register, Method, Verification log.
Data: a pricing table with 57 plans from 21 sending tools and 24 infrastructure products, checked on 5 October 2026.
The read. Sending is commoditised, and the money has moved to data, infrastructure and the reply. The recommended wedge is an EU-native agency platform with a reply desk as its front door (The wedge).
Revised in the same release. A consistency pass corrected these points:
- German consent wording.
- Instantly's current price.
- Microsoft enforcement and its per-mailbox cap.
- Smartlead API and workspace pricing.
- Clay pricing.
- The status of the KASPR fine.
- Single-number reply-rate claims.
The full list is at the foot of Contradictions register.
Verified. An independent pass re-checked 52 headline claims against their cited sources. 44 were confirmed, 6 partly supported and 1 wrong, and those 7 were corrected. The market-size headline moved from $0.25–0.35B to $0.22–0.32B. Details are in Verification log.
