Volume-based package builder: pick daily volume and provider mix; reporting add-on
The read
The most transparent blended-infra offer — it prices by provider and states the send cap for each — but it is a service business with 2–4 day setup, not software.

Scaledmail builds cold-email infrastructure to order: the buyer picks a daily sending volume and a provider mix — Google, Microsoft 365, SMTP or blended — and Scaledmail registers or connects domains, configures DNS, provisions inboxes and hands over a ready stack in 2–4 business days, with a dedicated Slack channel for support. It also sells pre-aged and pre-warmed domains.

The surprising fact is that Scaledmail publishes what most vendors hide: the daily send cap it designs each provider for. Google at up to 25 per mailbox, Microsoft and SMTP at up to 10 (Scaledmail pricing). That makes it the easiest vendor to compute a real cost per email for — and it shows Microsoft is not the cheap option per send.

What it sells

  • Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and SMTP inboxes, alone or blended.
  • Domain registration or connection, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, "conservative sending limits".
  • Pre-aged and pre-warmed domains ("2 days" setup with those).
  • Optional reporting add-on.
  • Works with "all sequencers" — Smartlead, Instantly, Apollo, lemlist and others (Scaledmail).

How it prices

Provider (Oct 2026)PriceUnitDesign capApprox. cost per 1,000 sent
Google Workspace$3.50/moper mailbox (2–3 per domain)25/mailbox/day~$6.40 + domain
Microsoft Outlook$50/moper domain (25 mailboxes)10/mailbox/day~$9.10
SMTP$3.75/moper domain (4 mailboxes)10/mailbox/day~$4.30 + domain
Reporting add-on$2/mailbox or $5/domain———

Prices from scaledmail.com/pricing; cost per 1,000 is my arithmetic at 22 sending days a month. Scaledmail's own worked example: about $654 a month for 2,000 emails a day across all three providers with reporting. No minimum commitment is stated.

So what

By Scaledmail's own caps, a Microsoft domain pack costs about 40% more per email than a Google mailbox and twice as much as SMTP. The "Microsoft is cheaper" story is true per inbox, not per send.

Who uses it and why

Scaledmail claims "230,000+ inboxes" under management (vendor claim). The service model — Slack support, package builder, blended stacks — targets Lead-gen agencies and in-house teams who want a finished stack rather than a self-serve dashboard, and who sell volume commitments to their own clients.

Where it is strong

  • Transparency. Per-provider price plus design cap lets buyers compute cost per send.
  • Blending by design. After the 2025 Google wave, a ready-made multi-provider stack is the safe default (Provider crackdowns).
  • Service. Dedicated Slack and done-for-you setup suit agencies without an ops person.

Where it is weak

  • Speed. 2–4 business days versus "5 minutes" at Zapmail or "<6 hours" at Premium Inboxes.
  • Service economics. White-glove setup scales with headcount, not software.
  • Commodity inputs. Its Google price ($3.50) matches the upper end of self-serve resellers; the premium is the service.
Gap in the record

No founder, location, entity, funding or revenue data was found for Scaledmail, and no independent data on its inbox placement or suspension rates.

Trajectory

Scaledmail's positioning — volume-first, provider-blended, done-for-you — is where the infra market went after October 2025. Its threat is the same as every standalone vendor's: sequencers bundling infra (Instantly DFY and AirMail, Smartlead SmartSenders) make a separate vendor one more invoice an agency could drop.

What this means for an entrant

  • Copy the transparency. Publish the per-provider send cap your product enforces and the cost per 1,000 it implies. It builds trust that "unlimited" marketing does not.
  • A blend builder belongs in the sequencer. "Tell us your daily volume, we'll size Google/Microsoft/SMTP and buy it" is a product feature, not a consulting gig. See Volume math: what 10k and 100k emails a day cost and Infrastructure strategy: build or partner.
  • Service is a wedge for the top agencies only. Slack-channel support works at the high end; for the long tail, automate.
  • Partner rather than compete. Scaledmail-type builders can be an agency channel for a new sequencer that integrates cleanly with blended stacks.
