The read
The safe, single-seat LinkedIn tool for sales teams; out-priced by HeyReach per sender for agencies, and carrying the same LinkedIn platform risk.

Expandi is a cloud-based LinkedIn automation tool that runs connection requests, messages, InMails and email steps from a dedicated IP per account. It positions on safety: "dedicated country-based IP per account, automatic warm-up, fine-tuned daily limit ranges". Its buyers are sales teams, recruiters and smaller agencies running a handful of profiles.

The notable fact is how far it got without capital or paid acquisition. Founder Stefan Smulders told SaaStock the company "bootstrapped our way to $7M ARR with zero paid marketing" in about two and a half years from its November 2019 founding. Getlatka estimates $10.7M ARR in 2024, up from $7M in 2023, with 54 employees. That makes it a business of similar scale to HeyReach two years earlier, now growing far more slowly.

Getlatka figures are estimates or self-reported and are not audited. No 2025–2026 revenue figure was found.

What it sells

  • LinkedIn sequences: connection requests, messages, InMails, profile actions, with behaviour-based branching (pricing page).
  • Email steps in the same sequence; webhooks and integrations.
  • Image and GIF personalisation, with video via Sendspark and Hyperize integrations.
  • Expandi MCP, in private beta in 2026: connect Claude or ChatGPT to build lists, draft campaigns and compose replies, with manual approval before anything sends (homepage).
  • A "State of LinkedIn Outreach: H2 2026" report the company says draws on 13M+ connection requests and 6M+ messages.

Seven-day free trial. A 2026 review puts the agency seat at ~$149 with a whitelabel dashboard, which conflicts with the vendor's "custom" label; treat as unverified.

Against HeyReach, the gap is stark: Expandi's $79–99 buys one LinkedIn account; HeyReach's $999 Agency plan buys 25. For an agency running 25 profiles, Expandi at list price is roughly $2,000–2,500 a month against HeyReach's $799–999.

Who uses it and why

Expandi claimed 12,500+ customers to SaaStock; Getlatka lists 3.7K. The difference is likely accounts versus paying companies, but neither source says. Reviews describe users who want one or a few LinkedIn profiles automated without being restricted. LeadHaste's 2026 review summarises the reputation as "the LinkedIn automation tool least likely to get your account flagged", while noting that LinkedIn still watches total account behaviour.

Where it is weak

Trajectory

Flat-to-slow on the evidence available: a $7M ARR claim around 2022 and a $10.7M estimate for 2024, against HeyReach's jump from $2M to $17M in the same window. Expandi's 2026 bets are AI (the MCP beta) and video personalisation, not a pricing change for agencies.

Gap in the record

No 2025–2026 funding, revenue, headcount or ownership change was found. Whether Expandi is still independent and bootstrapped in October 2026 was not confirmed beyond the absence of contrary news.

What this means for an entrant

  • Per-seat LinkedIn pricing is losing to per-sender tiers. If you ever bundle LinkedIn, price like HeyReach, not Expandi.
  • Safety is a story buyers pay for. Expandi built a $10M-scale business on "least likely to get flagged". The same framing works for email deliverability; see Warmup networks and Reputation and blocklists.
  • Integrate, do not compete. Expandi and HeyReach both carry LinkedIn's risk; your email engine should not.
  • Bootstrapped incumbents move slowly on pricing. Expandi's model has not changed in years. Slow incumbents are where a better-priced bundle finds its first customers; see the openings.
